Earlier today rumors hit the internet that Fallout: New Vegas was to be profiled in the next print issue of Game Informer magazine and also included what was claimed to be info from the article. Big Download contacted the game's publisher Bethesda Softworks for comment but their head PR rep stated they do not comment on rumors. Now it looks like Game Informer has stepped in to settle matters.

The magazines executive editor Andrew Reiner made a post on his Twitter page stating, "Fallout: New Vegas is NOT Game Informer's next cover," Later he added that he had "no idea" if any of the info about the game in the first rumor post was correct, saying. " . . . seeing that they couldn't identify the magazine correctly, I'd say fake."
