Mass Effect was one of the biggest games of 2007, and was later ported to the PC in early of 2008. It's been two years since the first game, which means that it's now time for the sequel by
BioWare standards.
Mass Effect 2 is changing things up immediately by being released cross-platform on the same date, rather than having the PC version come a few months later. It looks to be an excellent game, just as all BioWare games are expected to be at this point, and builds upon the visuals and theme of its predecessor. However, it's being hyped considerably, and we can't have that. After all, if you expect a game to cure your cancer and save the dodos from extinction several centuries ago, you will invariably be disappointed when it turns out to be merely awesome instead of life-changing. It's time to give
Mass Effect 2 the deconstruction treatment.

These criticisms are based on...what? Nothing! This article is worthless and informationless speculation and your complaints have zero legitimacy until you actually play the game.
I'm quite excited about Mass Effect and wager you and I don't know a damn thing about how combat will feel, the implication of our choices, or the nature of the plot (spread across two disks, in 2009, by a talented, programming-competent group like Bioware).Posted at 9:59PM on Dec 30th 2009 by Miro
