The first quarter of 2010 is already crowded with games. In fact it's so crowded that Capcom has decided to pull out of releasing several of its major game titles from the time period. In a statement posted on their global investor web site, Capcom stated that they will instead spread the wealth, as it were, and release the titles throughout their next fiscal year which begins on April 1, 2010.
The affected games will include Dead Rising 2, the sequel to the zombie action game that's officially been announced for the PC and Lost Planet 2, the sequel to their hit third person shooter that, while not yet officially a PC title, is likely to become one. These new delays have forced Capcom to cut their revenue forecast for their current fiscal year. While previously the publisher predicted an increase in revenue they are now looking at a revenue loss.
