Sega wins Australian ban appeal over Aliens Vs Predator

What is banned can now be unbanned. That's the case for the upcoming first person shooter Aliens Vs Predator. As reported by Kotaku, the title will now be released in Australia uncensored following a successful appeal to the country's game ratings board by publisher Sega.

Originally the country's classification board declined to give the game a rating due to its high degree of violent content. That meant the Rebellion-developed game could not be sold or rented in Australia. Now the game will be rated MA 15+, the highest current rating a game can have under the current system. At least the game will be played as it was intended unlike Left 4 Dead 2 which was released in Australia but in a highly edited form.
