Activision's use of the
Transformers game license has so far been restricted to releasing titles based on the two Michael Bay-directed live action games. Both titles were released for the PC (including last summer's
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, pictured above) but neither were considered to be, you know, good. That may not be the case for Activision's first all original Transformers game title which is coming to the PC and other platforms in 2010.
The Transformers fan site Seiberton.com has the info on the third person action title which they got from the new print issue of Game Informer magazine.
Transformers: The War For Cybertron is being developed by
High Moon Studios and will apparently feature campaigns for both Autobots and Decepticons. A trailer for the new game will be shown on
Spike TV's Gametrailers show on Thursday night.
I guess Activision really does hate PC gamers. First they butcher MW2 on the PC, now they're subjecting us to a Transformers game. Bastards.
