This week in PC games: November 30-December 6

The first week of December sees several retail and downloadable PC games and expansions make their way to store shelves and download services:

Dirt 2 - While the console versions of Codemasters' rally racer were released last September, the PC version that comes out this week has the distinction of being the first PC game released in the US that has DirectX11-supported graphics out of the box.

James Cameron's Avatar The Game - Ubisoft tries yet again to make a good movie-to-game adaptation with this action title based on the upcoming sci-fi epic from James Cameron (who collaborated with the game's development team on its creation).

Rogue Warrior - Announced over three years ago, this first person shooter from Bethesda Softworks is finally released via developer Rebellion. Based loosely on the life of former Navy SEAL Richard Marcinko, the game has actor Mickey Rourke handling the voice of Marcinko.

Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood - Turbine releases this downloadable-only commercial expansion to their fantasy MMO based on the J.R.R. Tolkein novel trilogy. The game ends the Volume II storyline begun last year in Mines of Moria and raises the level cap to 65.

EVE Online: Dominion - CCP releases their latest free content upgrade to their long running space-based MMO game. The expansion adds a number of new features along with graphical upgrades for planets and star fields.

Zombie Driver - Exor Studios release this latest game to feature the undead flesh-eating creatures that all the kids are talking about. The game features the player controlling several vehicles through settings filled with zombies ready to be blown up.

Twin Sector: This is an unusual blend of sci-fi first person action and adventure game puzzle solving from developer DnS Development. Your character has been put into suspended animation in an underground complex. Now the character awakens and, with the help of some gravity-controlling gloves, she must try to restart the power and systems in the complex to save mankind.
