Blizzard celebrated the fifth anniversary of World of Warcraft this week and it happened to fall around the Thanksgiving-Black Friday time period. A number of retailers like GoGamer, Best Buy, GameStop and others decided to cut the price of Blizzard's successful MMO to just $5 for the holiday.
So Blizzard apparently decided, "If you can't beat them, join them" and put World of Warcraft, in both its downloadable and retail box versions, on sale on its online store for just $5. In addition the World of Warcraft Battle Chest retail box (which has the original game, the first expansion The Burning Crusade and print strategy guides for both games) is also on sale at Blizzard's store for $19.99. We suspect these prices will terminate sometime on Monday so if you missed out on the Black Friday deals you still have some time to grab these games at a considerable savings.
