Infinity Ward targets PC Modern Warfare 2 cheaters
Now it looks like bans for at least some players are either on their way or already in place. Infinity Ward's community manager Robert Bowling has a post on his Twitter site that responds to a fan's request to take care of PC cheaters. Bowling says, "In fact, the Steam ban hammer is coming down on about 2,500 confirmed #MW2 cheaters on PC today." That post was made on Friday so it's possible the ban hammer has already been thrown. How effective these efforts will be in dealing with cheaters remains to be seen.

It's already sold more than the original on PC. It has nearly 90,000+ people playing it per day (via steam stats). I think the boycott failed...gasp.Posted at 11:45PM on Nov 28th 2009 by Gemski

I played around 15 matches today, 3 of them ended in a nuke with someone going 25-0. It was clear from the killcams that it was an aimbot. This game is great, but they ****ing ruined it with the IWNet ****!Posted at 6:22PM on Dec 12th 2009 by Guy

2,500 cheaters? That has to be nearly every person that actually bought it for the PC.Posted at 10:12PM on Nov 28th 2009 by IRONFIST2
