When we reviewed the new Square Enix-Popcap fantasy RPG-puzzle game Gyromancer recently we mentioned that the game that it most closely resembled, the first Puzzle Quest title from developer Infinite Interactive "was released over three years ago but offers a significantly richer experience and costs less than Gyromancer." Now comes word that Infinite Interactive is indeed working on Puzzle Quest 2, the first true sequel to that unique genre-bending title.
The first word on the game comes from GamePro's web site who states that their January 2010 print magazine issue (due in newstands in December) will have the first detailed preview of the game. However it showed off the lone screenshot that you see above as a teaser. Infinite Interactive has made several puzzle-style games since the original Puzzle Quest, including the sci-fi themed Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, but will the return to the game that started it all for them be worth the wait?
