It looks like some of us who thought we might get to play the Battlefield Bad Company 2 PC beta over the holidays will have to wait a little longer. The game's official web site has a new statement from Digital Illusions' producer Gordon Van Dyke who states that the PC beta for the upcoming shooter will be delayed until early 2010.
According to Dyke, you can blame the "success" of the recently launched PS3 beta for the delay in the PC test, saying, " . . . we decided to drastically increase the PC Beta's capacity to insure as many people as possible could participate. Unfortunately this meant we had to delay the Beta to very early next year giving us more planning time to make it happen and implement more optimizations." The developers have been hyping the fact that the game will have full dedicated server support for up to 32 people. It will also be one of the first games to support DirectX11 out of the box.

I'll be there when it hits, I've got enough FULL games to play as it is right now.Posted at 12:02AM on Nov 27th 2009 by iHavepants {SteamPSN: Arkanti}

Does suck, I was really looking forward to this starting next month. Hopefully it'll be the first week of the new year. PS3 beta is nice, PC version should be wicked. As long as they build off of BF2 control scheme, setting up controls should be the same.Posted at 12:05AM on Nov 28th 2009 by pcgamer
