It's taken longer than first thought, but the folks at Gas Powered Games and Stardock have finally added a new demigod to use in Demigod. The fantasy RTS/RPG game has gotten a major update via Stardock's Impulse client that adds the Demon Assassin along with a host of other changes.

The 1.2 update's release notes can be checked out at the game's official web site. Besides the new addition to the cast, the update now adds third party mod support to Demigod and mod samples will be released in the coming weeks "to get the ball rolling." There's all sorts of game balance changes, bug fixes and other things in this new update. The second promised free demigod addition, Oculus, "will be distributed in the coming weeks."
