Both the minimal and recommended specs show that the game is DirectX9 based so no matter what happens your rig won't likely need to be a performance hog to run the final version. Star Trek Online is currently in closed beta testing and this week its publisher Atari revealed that it's due for a February 2, 2010 launch date in the US.
