Gearbox: "Borderlands 2 seems like a no-brainer"
That's not to say that the developer is currently working on such a sequel right now. Neumann states, "Obviously nothing so far is planned. We're working on DLC. We haven't really had any talks about a sequel, other than water cooler talk like, 'Wouldn't this be cool' kind of stuff." Neumann was also non-committal on whether on not we will ever see a Borderlands demo, saying, "Borderlands is just such an expansive game. So many things can happen at any time. It's really hard to truncate that down to some bite-sized, 'Here's why you should buy the game'' section."

Yeah as good as it was, it had SO much potential... that will hopefully be seen in a sequel.Posted at 7:19PM on Nov 11th 2009 by Nerdman

I understand that Gearbox went though alot to bring Borderlands to the masses, but after playing I feel that the experience was not whole. Kinda like eating Chinese food, you fill up quick, but an hour later... Now everyone knows that DLC is the holy grail of games, here you can extend your playing experience for one forth of a retail games price. But what does DLC cost the developer? Loss of time? Loss of money? They exclude things from games to have DLC in the pot ready to go when the time comes, this we know. I would have rather seen in Borderlands more of a main quest and less side missions. More stats, bigger world, more to do. Less back tracking, less side missions that had me looking for things that allowed me more backpack space.. Don't miss understand me, I love collecting items.. But insted of looking for that extra backpack extender, I would have much rather have been on a boat to another content of Pandora. Instead of play though number two, I would have rather been leveling my character on more content. If you put RP (Role Playing), into a game let me have stats lots of stats. Stats on my gun, stats on my shoe lace, stats on my... Well you get the point. Great game.. Would love to see a second one.. I think that their is alot of potential.
