We talked about Diablo III last week, which is one of Blizzard's continuations of an esteemed and highly regarded franchise. However, they have more than just Diablo on their plate, as the sequel to the incredibly influential Starcraft is also in production. Initially started after the release of Warcraft III, Starcraft II was delayed, put on hold, and finally announced in 2007. Starcraft's legacy on the present and future of real-time strategy games can not be overstated, so Starcraft II has quite a lot of hype to live up to. While it's a Blizzard game, and will no doubt be good, it's debatable whether or not it will be quite the revolution that Starcraft was way back in 1998.
