Battlefield devs keeps hammering on Modern Warfare 2's lack of dedicated servers
We are not quite sure why DICE continues to not name Infinity Ward or Modern Warfare 2 in these kinds of posts. Indeed they black out any mention of the game or developer in their reproduction of the fan's letter. It's pretty clear they are not talking about the lack of dedicated servers for Nancy Drew: Warnings at Waverly Academy.
Meanwhile Infinity Ward is still dodging questions about the issue. An online chat sponsored by Best Buy with members of the development team had tons of PC-related questions from fans. However, Infinity Ward members would not comment if dedicated servers might return in a future patch for the game nor would they comment on if mod tools for the PC version would be released. They did confirm that the upper limit for multiplayer games in the PC version will be 18 players, far less than the 32 player support PC owners of previous Call of Duty games are used to.

awesome.
Here's something else that will be awesome: COD4 map makers recreating MW2 maps for COD4! Go to hell MW2.Posted at 12:49PM on Nov 4th 2009 by Royale
I don't mind IW's decision too much.
In my opinion CoD4 >>>...>>> BF: BC and I haven similar expectations for the sequels. I really enjoyed CoD4 and didn't like Bad Company at all. Seemed more like a tech demo for their new engine than a game, just wasn't fun for me (I know I'm in the minority with that opinion).Posted at 2:40PM on Nov 4th 2009 by Xeones25
Could CoD-MW2 Surpass GTA-SA, has the most hacked game of all time? Survey says.... Your Goddamn Right!!!

You know,
I have always liked the BF games... i wasnt happy when they didnt bring bad company to the pc to begin with but im happy that they have included us in this BF BC2. Dedicated servers is what pc gaming is all about!
MW2 even if they decide to bring out dedicated servers i will not buy the game.. they have just shit on us PC gamers even though the Call Of Duty started on the pc...
and about this match finding stuff pffft the host will get the 0 ping and everyone else who joins will have a high ping and lagg out most the time,... so wheres the fun in that?
anyways BF BC2 thank you very much for not leaving us PC Gamers out and thank you very much for leaving the dedicated server support in.
Looking forward to this, keep it up your fans will not let you down! Posted at 10:09PM on Nov 5th 2009 by Asbo

Who cares now, the decision has been made from Infinity Ward. Nothing we can do about it.
