American McGee's Alice returns to the warped looking glass

Fan original American McGee's Alice might be intrigued by this early trailer for The Return of Alice. It looks like after rampaging through fairy tales in Grimm, American McGee and his his development studio Spicy Horse will be going back to the roots and continue Alice's twisted tale. The game is expected to come out sometime in 2011, so we can look forward to more information in the coming year.

Well, it's not at the Electronic Arts store to download like I thought it would be. What a shame really. It's a wonderful game run on the Quake 3 engine. The Alice idle animations are my favorites, after a number of minutes of no interaction by the user the idle animations kick in per weapon she holds. I'm still trying to find the first game. I'm worried that I might have to rely on less... legal... means to acquire it.

Let's hope not.

Still, I'm excited to hear that there is a sequel on the way. Time to jump in time to jump across time!
