Activision says controversial Modern Warfare 2 scene can be skipped
Last night the Internet was abuzz about leaked footage that showed up from Infinity Ward's upcoming shooter Modern Warfare 2. The footage showed a highly controversial scene early in the game (which we won't reveal here, head to our earlier post for the details if you want to be spoiled). Now VG247.com has posted up an official comment from the game's publisher Activision which reveals how the sequence can be bypassed.
Activision's statement says, "Players have the option of skipping over the scene. At the beginning of the game, there are two 'checkpoints' where the player is advised that some people may find an upcoming segment disturbing. These checkpoints can't be disabled." It added that the game itself is "designed for intense, realistic game play that mirrors real life conflicts, much like epic, action movies" and is for an adult audience.
