This Week In PC Games: October 26-November 1

It's downright scary (sorry, had to be done) how many new PC game titles are scheduled for release this week. In addition to a number of original games, PC gamers can look forward to trying out the Left 4 Dead 2 demo (if they pre-ordered) and a new retail collection of all of Firefly Studios' Stronghold games:

Borderlands: Gearbox Software's sci-fi first person shooter blends elementes of an action-RPG in the mix as your characters go on quests on an alien world and deal with lots of monsters and enemies. Much has been made of the near infinite number of weapon variations that can be found in the game and the four-player co-op doesn't hurt either.

Torchlight: Developer Runic Games, made up in part of some of the people who developed the first two Diablo games, release their first title, a single player downoadable fantasy action-RPG that promises lots of gameplay for a mere $19.99 price. Oh, and it comes with mod tools out of the box.

League of Legends: Riot Games' attempt at created a stand alone Defense of the Ancients-style of game will officially launch on Tuesday (you can get into the open beta now and retain your account when the game launches). While the title is free to play a retail version will also ship to stores this week that will have some extra content.

Painkiller Resurrection: Homegrown Games becomes the third developer to create a game in this first person shooter series. In addition to all of the wild arcade-style action in single and multiplayer, this game adds a two-player co-op mode for the first time in the series.

World of Zoo: Blue Fang Games, the creator of the popular Zoo Tycoon series, launches an all new franchise. In addition to a zoo sim, the game gives you the chance to make your own animals

FiFA Manager 10: EA's latest soccer management sim game comes out this week. You can download a demo here at Big Download.

Football Manager 2010: Sega's own soccer management sim game also comes out this week. And yes you can also grab a demo from Big Download in vanilla or strawberry flavors.

Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter Four: When Telltale Games names the fourth chapter of their downloadable episodic adventure game The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood you know our hero is in serious trouble.

CSI Deadly Intent: Telltale has a second game out this week. It's the latest in their TV-show based mystery-adventure game series for Ubisoft.

East India Company: Privateer: This is a downloable expansion for the historical strategy game from Nitro Games that will let players control privateer ships to loot and raid trade ships from rival nations
