Dragon Age: Origins gets first downloadable quest on launch date

BioWare won't be making fans of their upcoming RPG Dragon Age: Origins wait for the game's first downloadable expansion. GameSpot is reporting that on the day of the game's release (November 3) BioWare will also release Warden's Keep, a new downloadable quest that the game's publisher Electronic Arts will sell for $7 for the PC.

Warden's Keep is described as a supernatural-themed quest set inside an ancient fortress that was once used by the Grey Wardens. Oh, and did we mention it may be haunted? The quest will give players six new abilities, new items (including a magic suit of Grey Warden armor) and a place where players can trade with merchants.

This new quest is in addition to the two downloadable extras that are available for free for people who buy Dragon Age: Origins as a new game. One is the The Stone Prisoner (which adds a stone golum and unlocks new quests in the main game). That can be downloaded for $15 as a separate DLC for people who buy the game used. Finally the extra Blood Armor item will also be available for download for people who buy the game new; a version of the Blood Armor will also be made available for Mass Effect 2.
