As promised, Activision has released the latest trailer for their high profile shooter Modern Warfare 2. The trailer starts out in pretty typical fashion for an Infinity Ward-created game. There's lots of shooting combined with lots of explosions and lots of inner monologue speeches referencing the Bible. You know, the usual.

That is until the last few seconds of the trailer where it clearly shows that Washington DC is under attack with The White House lawn as a battlefield and the Washington Monument with battle scars. It's pretty brutal stuff and we wonder if this is one of the big surprises that Infinity Ward's community manager Robert Bowling hinted at a few days ago. We are just waiting for some non-gamer folks to get upset by this.
