Dead Rising 2 reveals game show-like multiplayer modes
Capcom decided to pull a planned demo of Dead Rising 2 from its E3 presentations last June (the H1N1 virus kept the game's key Japanese producer from attending) but at the Tokyo Game Show this week the zombie action sequel was back in full force as Capcom showed off the game's planned multiplayer modes.
Our sister site Joystiq got a chance to check out the action in a hands-on demo. As it turns out Dead Rising 2's multiplayer modes are in the context of a TV game show called Terror is Reality. You can see one of the mode's mini-games in the screenshot above as players use helmet with antlers (yes, helmets with antlers) to throw zombies in the air. It's all very "Smash TV" stuff and certainly sounds in line with the goofy style of the Dead Rising franchise. Too bad we still don't have a release date.
