Torchlight calls upon arcane power with Alchemist trailer

Traditionally, alchemists are thought of people that work with mystical potions and were the early chemists before it was a science field. Torchlight bends the definition a little bit with the Alchemist, the third and final character class that will be featured in the game. This gameplay trailer shows how the Alchemist uses a variety of magic spells to fight groups of enemies. Other classes from the trio include the Destroyer for melee damage and the Vanquisher for ranged damage. The full single player game is scheduled to release on October 27th and will sell via digital download for $19.99. An online multiplayer version of Torchlight will launch later on currently unannounced date.

"Drawn to the power of Ember as a cornerstone of his magical art, the Alchemist came to Torchlight for his own ends. Being the largest cache of Ember ever found, the temptation may lead the Alchemist never being able to break free of its influence and ultimately to his downfall. The power of Ember is beyond imagining, but the price is very high. By channeling the power of Ember, the Alchemist is able to dispatch enemies from afar as well as summon minions to his aid."
