It looks like Ubisoft is sticking with the trend set up with the RUSE trailers by bringing the newly announced strategy game, The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom to life on a table top. Nothing as fancy as the interactive tabletop used for the RUSE video, but the trailer is stunning nonetheless... perhaps it's a little too impressive, since it's a real downer when the animated figures go from running around on a table to being on a laptop screen.

Set in the Renaissance period, players can achieve victory by excelling either military, science or trade. Players will be able to play against the computer or pit their skills against one another via online play. The Settlers 7 is expected to release in the spring of 2010.
