The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom announced
It's one of the longest running series in PC game history and now a new Settlers game has just been announced. The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom will once again be developed by the game's creators at Blue Byte Software and will ship to stores via publisher Ubisoft in the spring of 2010.
As you can see from the above screenshot, The Settlers 7 will use an all new graphics engine to show off the latest version of the strategy-sim series. Set in Europe during the early Renaissance period of history, players will learn to expand their fictional kingdom through military, science or trade routes. Look for both a single player campaign along with co-op and adversarial online features. Support for user created content will also be a part of The Settlers 7.

i really want them to focus on the resources collection like in settlers 4. so one settler collects the wood from a woodcutters lodge takes to a sawmill to get be prepared for construction. same with the metal mines, mining for rocks. settlers 4 seemed to have a larger community feel to it. settlers rise of an empire is all good but seems like it has cut corners. for example, you cut the wood send it to the storehouse and thats it, i think having a stroage area outside would have been better visually and seeing settlers pick up the resources and prepare them makes settlers 4 far more appealingPosted at 2:30PM on Nov 20th 2009 by scotty

I just hope they make the multiplayer mode so you can save it and return to it otherwise the games just go on too long, making hard for working people to play together. Settlers has always been a greeat single player game but has always neglected the multiplayer aspect.
Time available to play together has to be the prime consideration when making this a multiplayer option. Play for a couple of hours save and come back next week and carry on that would be fantastic.
Still looking forward to it. Posted at 7:17AM on Nov 8th 2009 by ian smith
