MMOs still dominate Direct2Drive top 10 best selling PC game list
The recent surge of new MMO games on the market continues to translate into high downloadable game sales for the Direct2Drive service. For the week ending September 19 there are a whopping four games out of their top 10 best selling titles that are massively multiplayer games.
Three of the entries actually launch today: The Aion Collector's Edition stays on the number one spot while its Standard Edition takes its place at the number 10 position. Fallen Earth, also launching today, is at the number four spot while Champions Online, which launched three weeks ago, continues to sell well in the number two slot:
1. Aion Collector's Edition - NCsoft
2. Champions Online - Cryptic Studios/Atari
3. Batman: Arkham Asylum - Rocksteady/Eidos
4. Fallen Earth - Fallen Earth LLC
5. BioShock - 2K Boston/2K Games
6. The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - Starbreeze/Atari
7. Need For Speed SHIFT - Electronic Arts
8. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - BioWare/LucasArts
9. Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim - Paradox Interactive
