This Week In PC Games: September 21-27

There's not one but two retail MMOs being released this week along with not one but two WWII themed games. Who would have thought that?

Aion: NCsoft's fantasy MMO is already a huge hit in its native Korea and even before its US release the game has generated nearly 400,000 pre-orders. The game, which uses the first generation Cryengine for its graphics, is noted for its combat which can take place in the air as well as on the ground.

Fallen Earth: While Interplay seems to have failed in its task of making a Fallout MMO, developer Fallen Earth LLC has created their own post-apocalypse MMO game. Set in the real setting of the Grand Canyon, the game has generated a passionate cult following already but will that be enough to keep the game afloat in a sea of other MMO titles?

Order of War: Square Enix released their first ever game created by a Western developer. In this case it's from Wargaming.net who have made yet another in a glut of WWII RTS strategy games. Set during the turning point in the war in 1944 the game has two separate single player campaigns along with a number of multiplayer modes and features.

Heroes Over Europe: Ubisoft snatched up the publishing rights to this WWII themed flying action game from Australian developer Transmission Games. The game features 14 different single player missions as the player gets to fight the Nazis in the skies. Multiplayer support for 16 players and featuring 40 different aircraft is also a part of the game.
