With Champions Online now officially launched, developer Cryptic Studios is now putting more emphasis on its other announced MMO Star Trek Online. This week the developer announced on the game's official web site that they are now taking applications from folks who which to participate in the game's closed beta test.
Cryptic is scheduled to begin the closed beta test sometime later this year with the game itself launching in 2010. If you purchased the lifetime or six month subscription to Champions Online you will automatically be selected for the Star Trek Online closed beta.
