Earlier this week we noted that Tropico 3 was looking like it would miss its previously announced September release date for the game. Today publisehr Kalypso Media announced that the new and final worldwide release date for the upcoming island dictator sim game will be October 16 for both the PC and Xbox 360. The one exception is Germany which will get the game a few weeks earlier on September 24 for the PC; it gets the Xbox 360 version like everyone else on Oct. 16.

In addition to the release dates for the full game, it was announced that a PC demo for Tropico 3 will be released the week of September 7. There's no word yet on what will be contained in the demo for the Haemimont Games developed title.
