More evidence that Ubisoft has put Beyond Good and Evil revival on ice
Why is this pig-man thing not happy? Maybe it's because Ubisoft doesn't seem to know what to do with the Beyond Good and Evil franchise. The original game was a huge critical hit but sales were poor. In 2008 Ubisoft showed a teaser video for a second game in the series during a press event. Since then, however, Ubisoft has stayed silent on their plans.
Now a "Tweet" from a writer for the web site Gamersyde claims that he was told during Gamescom that a revival of Beyond Good and Evil was "on hold for now". The confirmation supposedly comes from an Ubisoft rep but our sister site Joystiq has yet to get anything beyond a "no comment" from the publisher. In other words, no news is bad news for this game.
