No PC Battlefield 1943 until 2010

Battlefield 1943 was a major downloadable hit for the Xbox 360 and PS3 earlier this summer but PC gamers were promised by developer Digital Illusions and publisher Electronic Arts that the graphical remake of a portion of Battlefield 1942 would be released in September. Well, get used to disappointment. G4TV.com's web site has posted word that the PC version won't be released this year at all.

According to the game's producer Gordon Van Dyke the game will now be released sometime in the first quarter of 2010 for the PC. He states, "This was a hard pill to swallow, but it was absolutely needed to ensure the features and functionality that PC players have come to expect from Battlefield on PC are not missing. Things like support for DirectX 9 and 10, higher player count (up to 32-player matches), wide peripheral support i.e. Joysticks for flying, VoIP, and ranked server provider hosting." That still doesn't take the sting out of this latest PC game delay.
