Obviously dedicated to their monster-killfest Killing Floor, Tripwire has released their first free DLC that was promised a while ago. Labeled the Heavy Metal content pack, it hosts a plethora of changes and additions that are sure to please any fan of co-op survival horror. The most notable additions are a new official map, KF_Foundry, as well as two new weapons: the Katana and the AK47. If you own the game, the update is free, so get playing!
Along with the update, Tripwire has given the game a 10% discount for the week. This means that anybody wanting to jump into the co-op action only has to throw down $18 instead of the usual $20. We gave Killing Floor a decent review when it first came out, and all these updates and expansions only serve to make it even more addicting and fun.
