The worldwide publishing rights to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat have now been announced during Gamescom. German-based bitComposer Games has secured the rights to publish the third game in the first person shooter series from developer GSC Game World.
The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series has had three separate publishers in it's short history. The original game, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. was published by THQ in 2007. The second game, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (which served as a prequel to events in the first game) was published by Deep Silver in 2008. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat is a sequel to the events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Confused? So are we. The third game is due for release this fall.
