Sega's revival of the Aliens Vs Predator game franchise already got us excited when we heard Rebellion was back in charge of the series they helped to begin many moons ago. So far, however, we have only heard about the single player game. What about multiplayer? Eurogamer got the word about those plans for the FPS during Gamescom.
The game will have 18 player cross-species (Alien, Predator, Colonial Marine) battles along with "pure blood" battles that will allow for some same species matches as well. There will also be a four player co-op mode when four Colonial Marines deal with wave after wave of Aliens (similar to Call of Duty: World at War's Nazi Zombie mode). The article also has some of the first detail on how the Alien single player campaign will work.

That coop is also a bit of a throwback to the original AvP where you could be all Marines OR Predators, taking out waves of aliens. There were more than four players then, IIRC.Posted at 9:39PM on Aug 19th 2009 by ChimpWithAHandgun
