A few days ago we reported on a possible live viral marketing campaign for BioShock 2 as a note that appeared on the Somethinginthesea.com web site indicated that "something" was going to happen at sunrise at several beaches around the world. As it turned out, that event did indeed happen this morning as folks traveled to beaches on both coasts of the US, Australia and others to find bottles half-buried in the sand.

The bottles, from the "Worley Winery" had one of three mini-posters, each done in the BioShock art deco style. The game's official message boards, naturally, have lots of links to pictures and videos taken by folks at the viral event.
