It was a case of "good news" and "not-quite-as-good news" for Activision Blizzard in their announcement today of their latest quarterly financial results. In their latest numbers for the quarter that ended on June 30 they recorded $1.038 billion in revenue. That's slightly higher than the company's previous predictions of $1 billion in revenue. The company recorded a net profit of $195 million for the quarter.
However it wasn't all good news. Thanks to the company's decision to delay the release of StarCraft II and Singularity into the first half of 2010 the company has lowered its financial outlook for the rest of the 2009 calendar year. Previously the company had predicted it would have $4.3 billion in revenues but now it is expecting to get $4.05 billion for the year.
