This Week In PC Games: July 27-August 2

The final week of the month brings a classic game franchise to the PC along with a historical strategy game and a downloadable movie-based brawler:

Bionic Commando: Capcom brings this third person action game to the PC (it was released to consoles last May) with developer GRIN re-imagining the classic 2D sci-fi side scroller as a more serious title. Swing across both blasted out cityscapes and more natural settings with your bionic arm which doubles as a powerful weapon against enemies.

East India Company: Have you ever wanted to sail the high seas and trade with far away lands . . . in the 17th century? Developer Nitro Games and publisher Paradox Interactive give you that chance with this new PC title. Your goal is to lead your "company" to become the big trade empire of the time through both land and naval battles.

Watchmen: The End Is Nigh Part 2: The second and final chapter of the movie-based brawling game is scheduled to be released via Steam this week. Developed by the now defunct Deadline Games, the title continues the adventures of Nite Owl and Rorschach in a prequel to the events of the classic comic book and its movie adaptation.
