Saving money is always a good idea, whether its in a good or bad economy. This weekend save some money by buying a number of PC games at discount prices.- Just a reminder: Paradox Interactive's entire current game lineup is priced at 50 percent off at a number of download sites including Steam, GamersGate, Impulse and Direct2Drive, through Sunday.
- Direct2Drive has a number of THQ games that are 50 percent off through Sunday including the just added Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II.
- Velvet Assassin is being sold via Steam for 50 percent off through this Sunday. Also on sale for the same percentage is X3: Terran Conflict. Finally Men of War's price is reduced 75 percent to just $7.50. You can pre-purchase the PC port of Bionic Commando via Steam for 10 percent off its normal price before it's schedule release on July 28. Also as a reminder a number of former Sierra/Vivendi Games titles have been added to Steam and are 25 percent off their normal price until July 30.

Nothing doing. $25 for Velvet Assassin is still $15 too much... I should know, I blew $50 for it. The only thing it excels at is being mediocre.
