While we wait for Valve to released the promised new content for Left 4 Dead, the developer has now issued a new patch (via Steam) for their popular zombie themed first person shooter. The big new feature added in this latest update is a lobby browser.
This new addition, found under the Play Online tab, will allow players to the the most optimal games available to join online. Players can see both the official and third party add-on campaigns in this new lobby browser including add-on campaigns that are not yet installed on their hard drive. The new update also has a number of other bug fixes.

Looks like they finally integrated the server browser into the UI, as opposed to having to use the console to open it.Posted at 10:08AM on Jul 17th 2009 by James Murff

Sweetness.
This fixes most of my complaints with the playing of custom campaigns. I say most because downloading the campaign still takes you out of the game. An integrated downloader would be cool.Posted at 12:40AM on Jul 17th 2009 by Einhanderkiller
