Remedy: Alan Wake's PC fate is up to Microsoft
Today several fan sites, including Brightfalls.net, received an official statement from Remedy stating that Alan Wake is currently being made only for the Xbox 360 at this point. The note added, "Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and would love to see a PC version available to its PC followers, ultimately however this decision lies with our publisher." It's important to note that Microsoft does have a history of releasing PC ports of many of their Xbox and Xbox 360 games including Halo, Halo 2, Gears of War, Fable and others so folks should not automatically assume that an Alan Wake PC port is dead.

Those games pretty much failed on the PC. Which is not surprising since PC gamers don't like to play old console games.
Even if they release Alan Wake sometime later... noone will care.
This just shows what kind of publisher MS is and I hope Remedy choose another one for their next project.Posted at 4:17PM on Jul 15th 2009 by ahac
That's not an issue that some games are only runnable to a specific model of Xbox as Sony has made some which can only run on PS3 because their graphic only suits on its configuration like wise Microsoft done this which should be appreciated rather degrade..........

It should also be noted that those ports came out anywhere from 1 to 3 years after the console release. I think that might say what to expect as a potential positive outcome.
At least it now falls upon Microsoft to put its money where its mouth is. This should be a nice example to see just how important PC gaming is to them.Posted at 3:55PM on Jul 15th 2009 by ChimpWithAHandgun
