Dave Perry aiming for 1Q 2010 launch for Gaikai streaming game service

David Perry is talking more and more about his plans for the Gaikai PC streaming game service and this week he is taking his pitch over to the UK's Develop game conference. VG247.com has a chat with Perry where he claims that he is aiming for a first quarter 2010 launch date for Gaikai.

Natually there will be a closed beta for the service some time before the launch and Perry states that the service has already gotten 20,000 people signed up for the closed beta with "not a single dollar spent on marketing." Of course, the big rival to Gaikai for this kind of service is OnLive. The company previously announced a launch before the end of 2009 with a beta before that time. However, the company has been fairly quiet about their plans since showing a stealth demo of the service last month during E3.
