Left 4 Dead 2 demo to be offered with pre-orders

Last year Valve allowed people who pre-ordered Left 4 Dead to download and play a demo of the zombie co-op shooter before the general public. The demo itself was playable for only a couple of weeks before the full game was released. Now it looks like Valve will have the same pattern for the demo for Left 4 Dead 2.

Our sister site Joystiq reports that while speaking to Valve's Doug Lombardi, pre-orders for Left 4 Dead 2 via either retail stores or Valve's download service Steam will get "advanced access to the demo" before the rest of the world gets to play it. There's no word if the demo will shut down before the full game goes live on Nov. 17 but we suspect that will indeed be the case again.
