A few weeks ago, Croteam announced that they were working on some new projects including a new game in their Serious Sam shooter series.Today it was announced that Xbox 360 owners will be able to download a remake of Serious Sam: The First Encounter via Xbox Live Arcade later this summer.
But that's not all, apparently. Eurogamer is reporting that the remake will also be released for the PC later this fall. The game will be released, at least in Europe, by CDV (we are betting another publisher handles the PC version in the US) and will be the first game that will use Croteam's Serious Engine 3 graphics technology. As you can see from the above screenshot , Serious Sam: The First Encounter HD will get a major graphical upgrade compared to the original. The Xbox 360 version will also have support for four player co-op but there's no word yet on co-op option for the PC version.
