Much as I want this game, I won't use the deploy client, or any other online download or service, to obtain it. My internet, which my whole family/household uses, charges extra after 10GB of bandwidth, so I can't go using up half of it on one game.

#3: I understand that, but even 3GB is too much for me to download. My house has five internet users, so I try not to go above a fifth of our monthly bandwidth. its a half truth - bigdownload is exclusively offering the Deploy Client, which downloads the game for you. Steam is just downloading the game straight out (which is better, since the deploy client is fail).Posted at 12:14AM on Jun 13th 2009 by David

Why do they keep fixing things that aren't broken ? I for one would have preferred more maps on current game. Also the deoploy client new and old takes a long time to load and scan cache everytime. We've had to use steam in the past at the university to install other games and play them. Let's see you use steam to download and install AA and then uninstall steam and see if you can play AA. Yes, I will be playing the game online but I do not care to have to go through a second party to play a game that is suppose to be free and exclusive. I also do not care to share information that they collect as other companies do. It is a personal preference that I do not share information with private companies or use a secondary when I can go directly to the source and control the game myself. Lame new update...the previous was way better.

I happen to be in the real ARMY,and the sounds are very real sounds like the m-1 range across the street from my barracks room here on Fort Benning. You kids have no idea how real the AA3 really is they even have the new body armor the IOTV. @15 right. Seems the Beta-servers ran in a debug-mode or so.
The Sounds are realistic like in no other game.
I really looking forward too AAo3.0 and i geuss the devs
done a real good job. ArmAII is also a very nice Game.
But something completly different. ArmA/ArmAII and AAO are focusing on completly different situations. While AAO is M.O.U.T.
and CQB, ArmA series is made for Infantry Fights in a large scaled
enviroment and heavy weapons. Both Games are fine in their way.

i have 1000bps and it will take 8 hours with steam, probably the same with deploy.
