Valve: There are "very good reasons" for lack of Half-Life 2: Episode 3 info
Valve head man Gabe Newell chatted with G4TV during E3 and when the subject of Episode 3 came up he stated, "I get a ton of email everyday saying why aren't you talking about Episode 3? And there are very good reasons why we're not talking about Episode 3, which I can't talk about yet, but I will." Meanwhile the concept art piece pictured above, released almost a year ago, is the only real glimpse of what the game will be like.

I couldn't disagree with you more, little freak. You can't cite TF2 as proof that Valve cares not about fans, because the dedication they've showed to this nearly two year old game is on par with the support exhibited by devs like Bethesda and Criterion. You do realize the game was in development for 10 years, and they didn't simply drop that, they remade it (I'm sure, more than once) and dropped a solid game, a platform, even!Posted at 3:03PM on Jun 11th 2009 by Jose
O I think you understood wrong wasnt saying TF2 as a whole. I mean TF2 is the only valve game I find myself playing anymore. Im just refering to that last major update that really set alot of people including myself off.Posted at 3:51PM on Jun 11th 2009 by littlefreak3000
My point still stands, a great many people were pissed off because they didn't like the way in which the previous updates were implemented, and Valve's response was to get to work on a new patch immediately, which released shortly thereafter and appeased a good number of those whiners. People will always whine though, about anything and everything. You got that update for free, don't bitch, be happy they're actually going to update each character, they're going to keep making improvements to gameplay, servers, and any number of things, perhaps for even years to come. Can we say "thank you"?Posted at 5:14PM on Jun 11th 2009 by Jose
the last patch was the biggest update to date, wtf u complaining about. As for halflife there's no way in hell they're dropping it. Its one of the biggest franchises in gaming historyPosted at 6:57PM on Jun 11th 2009 by acme
They hven't released the episode 3 because it needs to be the best game ever. So, they are taking their time.Posted at 11:40PM on Jun 11th 2009 by maxguy2099
Don't Judge Valve by L4d. They didn't technically come up with it. It started out as a game by an indie company that was bought by valve. The game was near completion when valve bought it, so not much was tweaked in the end.Posted at 10:45PM on Jul 16th 2009 by xalener

I feel like Valve is losing what made them so big. As a huge Valve fan up to the orange box, I feel a bit let down with valve latest realy L4D. Not saying its a bad game I just was expecting alot more from valve. Now with the sequal being released so soon is even more of a let down. I wouldnt be surprised if valve is planning on dropin HL all together and just gonna leave us all hangin. I think they are becoming more cocerned with selling more copys then keeping the fans happy. This is also noticable in the latest TF2 updates. Stop caring about the fans and just do what they have to to sell copies.Posted at 1:49PM on Jun 11th 2009 by littlefreak3000
