E3 2009: OnLive shows up at E3 after all . . . sort of

Remember when OnLive, the upcoming online streaming PC game service, said it wouldn't be exhibiting at E3 2009 because the show was a "retail-oriented conference" and OnLive just didn't fit into that kind of event? Well, they were telling the truth . . . up to a point. They didn't show up at E3. They did have a display outside the LA Convention Center this week.

To be fair they didn't show off the actual service as they did during GDC last March. OnLive's "display" was simply some marketing and t-shirt and giveaways to folks going in and out of the convention center. Still, the fact that OnLive had any presence at E3 2009 after slamming it as a mere "retail-oriented conference" shows that the folks in charge know they need to get the word out to gamers.
