CD Projekt has already released a new version of their 2007 fantasy RPG
The Witcher. The 2008 released Enhanced Edition of the game had tons of improvements, bug fixes and additions and was released for free for previous owners of the game. Today comes word that CD Project plans to release a 1.5 version of the Enhanced Edition of
The Witcher.
This new free patch will contain everything in the previous Enhanced Edition download along with five fan-made new Witcher adventures. Also CD Projekt has decided to remove the CD check from the game with this new patch, making
The Witcher completely DRM free. There is no word on when the patch will be released.
Awesome news!
It seems quite typical of CD Projekt to do this (the DRM removing)... and I love it! Posted at 7:28PM on Jun 2nd 2009 by Nerdman
