One of the world's best known comic book characters is about to be made into a movie and that movie is also being adapted into a game. During their E3 2009 press conference Ubisoft announced plans to adapt Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, based on the classic character created by the late Herge'.The movie will be released in late 2011 and will be one of those motion-capture CGI films (like the Polar Express). The movie itself will be directed by Steven Spielberg. Peter Jackson is a producer and his WETA digital effects unit is handling the effects. It's currently unknown what platforms the game will appear on but we will assume at this point that Ubisot will port the game to the PC when it also launches in 2011.

Ubisoft makes crappy games, Tintin is crappy, and movie-based games are crappy.Posted at 5:29PM on Jun 2nd 2009 by Clyde Cash
