A while back Square Enix surprised many people when they announced they would be the publisher for Supreme Commander 2, the next game in the sci-fi RTS series from developer Gas Powered Games. The title has been in hiding since the announcement but today Square Enix has gone ahead and released the first in-game screenshot from the title.

The shot looks, well, like a somewhat graphically enhanced version of the original Supreme Commander game. However it does wet our appetite for more info on the title. We should get it when Square Enix shows off the game to us at E3 2009 next week.
