Valve: Improvements made to Team Fortress 2's item drop system
The introduction of the random "item drop" system in Valve's Team Fortress 2 has been a huge controversy among many players of the multiplayer shooter. However, Valve's Robin Walker told Kotaku today that they are making improvements in how their new system works.
Walker states, "Last night we fixed one major problem that accounted for a lot of those cases where people were finding multiple items at once and where other people weren't finding anything at all. So we fixed that. We're not at all sure that that fixed everything, so we're going to keep plugging away at that." The fix was done on the server side which means there was no need for a downloadable update for TF2 players.
