Lord of the Rings Online has been cooking along for a couple of years now and this week the game's developer Turbine announced (and issued new screenshots) plans for the MMO's next big content update. Titled Volume II: Book 8: Scourge of Khazad-dum (stop snickring back there) the free expansion will be released sometime in June.

The new screenshots from the game show off the new area known as the Water Wheels which, well, have a lot of water. It also shows some pretty massive monsters going up against some relatively tiny player characters. We will certainly give out more info on this next expansion when we get more info from Turbine.
